It was September 1992. Yahoo's home page had 10 links, AOL had a dozen chat rooms and looking at a coffee pot in London was fascinating. I was sitting in a loft, using a 14.4K dial-up and thinking of the Web as a new form of entertainment… and then I found the Rolling Stones home page.

Instantly, I realized the potential that the Internet represented. It would be a way to connect with people – a marketing tool that would shift control of brands from marketers to the consumer – and it would radically change the way we communicate.
